Compass driver, compass truck, insurance from compassHoliday, FL - The wife of a tow truck driver was hit and

killed overnight while responding to the scene of a wrong-way

crash in Pasco County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Brittany Anello

had been driving northbound in the southbound lanes of US 19

when she hit three cars, shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers say her blood alcohol content was .177, well over the

legal limit.

A passenger in one of the vehicles that Anello hit was taken

to the hospital. At this time, Anello is facing charges of

driving the wrong way and failure to provide proof of

insurance.

A short time later, a tow truck was on scene of the wrong-way

crashes. The FHP says the tow truck driver's wife, 66-year-old

Denise Gajus, was crossing the southbound lanes of US 19 when

she walked into the path of a car driving in the center lane

and was hit.

The driver did pull over onto the shoulder and waited for

police to arrive. Gajus died at the scene.
